HSMAI Washington State is a chapter of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry. With a strong focus on education, HSMAI has become the industry champion in identifying and communicating trends in the hospitality industry while operating as a leading voice for both hospitality and sales and marketing management disciplines, as well as connecting its members with customers. The Washington State Chapter was chartered in 2009 and has members from all corners of the state.

Jaime Job
Jaime Job brings over 27 years' experience in the hospitality business, in food and beverage, sales, catering, administration and marketing. She began her consulting business in 2001, and has worked with a wide variety of hotels, ownership groups and management companies. Jaime is a founding member of the Washington State Chapter of HSMAI.

Anthony Batkie
Vice President, Communications
Anthony has been involved in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. He has held a variety of positions including Director of Revenue for the Renaissance Seattle, Revenue Manager for WestCoast Hospitality and Vice President of Communications for RedLion Hotels. Currently, Anthony is with Travelocity. Anthony has just moved back to Seattle after several years in Spokane and he joined HSMAI to gain from the wealth of networking and educational opportunities the organization provides.

Jodi Forslund
Vice President, Membership
For the last 25 years, Jodi has worked in Sales & Marketing holding various positions at The Orchid at Mauna Lani, The Edgewater, Hotel 1000 and most recently as the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for MTM Luxury Lodging. Jodi lives on Bainbridge Island and became a member of the HSMAI board to work towards building the chapter from the ground level to provide a combination of learning and networking for our Washington State industry professionals. Jodi and her husband, Bill, have two children.

Reece King
Director, Web Site
Reece lives in Kirkland and currently works for Expedia, Inc as a Market Manager. Reece joined the HSMAI Board because it is a great avenue to share ideas and best practices in the field of sales & marketing. Reece has been in the industry for over 9 years and prior to his role at Expedia, Reece was General Manager for Silver Cloud Inns & Hotels.

Chris Mueller

During her 22 year career in the hospitality field, Chris has held various positions in the Seattle market including Strategic Account Manager and Director of Sales. Today, Chris is the Director of Convention Services for the Seattle Convention & Visitors Bureau. A resident of West Seattle, Chris became a member of HSMAI to network among her sales & marketing peers. Chris is married and has one son.

Damian Pisanelli
Secretary
Currently the Global Account Coordinator for ConferenceDirect in their Redmond office, Damian has spent 15 years working the Greater Seattle Hospitality community. He has held a wide range of positions in management including front desk, housekeeping and reservations. He was recently the Revenue Manager for the Pan Pacific Hotel and prior to that the Sales Analyst for the Westin Bellevue. HSMAI has allowed Damian to remain directly connected to the hospitality industry through educational events and networking opportunities. Damian lives in the Maple Leaf neighborhood of Seattle.

Adam Werner
Treasurer
For nearly 17 years, Adam has worked in various role in the hospitality industry. He has been a sales manager, reservation manager, housekeeping manager and a Director of Six Sigma for the Westin Seattle. As well, he has been a sales manager for GuestWare hospitality software. Currently Adam works for IDeaS – A SAS Company as Director of Sales – Western Region. Adam joined the Board for HSMAI because of the challenge in making the Washington State Chapter one of the strongest in the country. Adam says, “The educational opportunities and vast resources available through HSMAI provide a great asset to me and peers in the industry.” Adam lives in West Seattle.

Cynthia Breen

Cindi has had a primarily Sales & Marketing focus during her more than 25 years in the hospitality industry. Currently the Director of Sales & Marketing for the Westin Bellevue, Cindi has held numerous positions in the Starwood Hotel family including Convention Services Manager, Director of Catering/Convention Services and even Tour Coordinator. Cindi enjoys golf, gardening and biking in her free time.

Janelle Cornett
Vice President, Education
Currently the Corporate Director of Revenue Management for Coastal Hotel Group, Janelle brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the HSMAI Washington State Board. She has been with Coastal for more than ten years and prior to that served as Director of Sales and Catering Revenue Management at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Janelle believes that “Continuing Education is one of the most important elements in our industry – it is ever changing and we all need to keep up with Education to know what is coming next.”

Sylvia Nierling
Director, Fundraising
Sylvia comes to the HSMAI Board with nearly 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Her background includes brands such as Starwood, Red Lion and Marriott. Currently she serves as the Directors of Sales for Cedarbrook Lodge. When asked about the benefits of joining HSMAI, Sylvia said that “being involved in HSMAI provides me an opportunity to stay connected to my peers and stay current in our ever changing industry.” Sylvia is a resident of West Seattle.
